[Free Shipping] Jan & Dean JAN & DEAN 3 CDs [BIG WAVE HITS] [SILVER SUMMER] [THE MOST OF JAN & DEAN] Jacket damaged [Junk item] included
[Free shipping] We are offering 3 CDs by the American duo <Jan & Dean>, who contributed to the spread of surfing music together with the Beach Boys in the 1960s. All 3 discs are clean and there is no problem with listening, but 2 and 3 were damp from a typhoon a few years ago, and the jackets became corrugated and stuck to the case, making it impossible to read the contents. Therefore, 2 and 3 are treated as [junk items], but we recommend them only to those who say, "Music is not something to listen to by its jacket!"

The Beach Boys were managed by the Wilson brothers' father Murray before signing with Capitol Records, and they signed with CANDIX, a small label run by Murray's friend Hite Morgan, and released their debut single "SURFIN'/LUAU" in 1962, but the label was credited to the name "The Beach Boys", which the members did not know. Their debut single only reached 75th place in the US. The seven tracks recorded on this CD, ① to ⑦, are from that period, and include early versions of "SURFIN' SAFARI" and "SURFER GIRL," which were later released by Capitol.
The latter half, ⑧ to ⑮, contains eight recordings (remade versions) of Jan & Dean's songs from the 70s. These are re-recordings from a different period than ②.
② is a CD released in the 70s, during the record era, in 1985. In addition to re-recordings of their hit songs, it is a compilation that includes many Beach Boys songs such as "Surfer Girl," "California Girl," "I Get Around," and "New Girl in School." Jan & Dean probably left behind several types of remade records in the 70s, but since the CD is 57 minutes long, we can assume that it is not from a single record. It also includes a cover of the Kinks' "Sunny Afternoon," and is easier to listen to with a wider range and deeper sound than the original recordings from the 60s.
③ is an Australian best album that compiles their singles, as the subtitle "20 ORIJINAL HITS" suggests. ⑱⑲ are original works written by P.F. Sloane and Steve Barry, who were in the similar surfing rock group Fantastic Baggies.
